Always in pursuit of tackling fashion codes with sophistication and panache, Andrea Crews gave shape to a collection that exuded freedom and prompt individual expression. The men’s A/W 2018 collection was inspired by a fresh way of looking at the African American pop culture from Dapper Dan to Cardi B. The eye-catching silhouettes were smartly balancing colorful puffers, iconic tartans and bourgeois houndstooth, embraced by bicolor straps and upcycled silhouettes. All was well-crafted in a way that avoided any overshadowing nostalgic statement. Wall breaking and tearing frontiers are what new generations are thirsty for, according to the label paying homage to both the glory of Chateau Rouge fireman and emblematic codes of couture houses. And it was up to real people, street-cast models only, to embody the endless quest for freedom.
